Self-trainging at Le Monastère


PROTOCOL :  Le Monastère

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING BEFORE BOOKING !!!


ELIGIBILITY

Only the following are eligible:
•    Professional artists


EQUIPMENT

IMPORTANT: Artists must bring their own acrobatic equipment!


TIME SLOTS

Monday to Friday, between 10am and 5pm.

Duration of the session: The duration of the allotted session includes the warm-up period, the installation of the acrobatic equipment, the dismantling, cleaning and storage of this equipment, as well as any stretching period after training. The artist must leave any training area at the end of the exact time of his or her allotted session.

Training schedules and studios will vary each week. Please consult the schedule by date in our reservation system.

In case all time slots are already booked, you can check availability with other companies: 
La Tohu, Les 7 Doigts, Cirque Eloize and La Caserne.


PRACTICE AREAS

The Annexe : 4 training stations (Height : 14’)
·    Spot A : 11’ x 20’, concrete floor with marley, contains a mirror, dance bar
·    Spot B : 26’ x 10’, concrete floor with carpet, contains espaliers
·    Spot C : 15’ x 17’, concrete floor
·    Spot D – aerial, single point, muffle: 33' diameter, concrete floor

The Hall : 3 training stations (Height : 20’, except G)
·    Spot E : 17,5’ x 28’, contains mirrors, wood slat floor
·    Spot F : 17,5’ x 28’, contains mirrors, wood slat floor
·    Spot G : 11’ x 27’, raised stage, 17' high, wood slat floor
 “Noisy" disciplines are not allowed (juggling with skittles and skating)

The Sanctuary : 6 training stations (Height : 38’, linoleum floor)
·    Spot H : 23’ x 32’, floor - stage with wooden risers  
·    Spot I : 20’ x 18’, linoleum floor
·    Spot J - aerial, single point, muffle with counterweight: 33' diameter, linoleum floor
·    Spot K - aerial, single point on gantry, muffle: 18' x 18' x 20', linoleum floor
·    Spot L : 24’ x 32’ linoleum floor, slack wire possible
·    Spot M : 25’ x 16’, linoleum floor

RATES

Self-training in Le Monastère studios will be free for any artist thanks to the support of Le Monastère and CALQ.
•    Pullers and additional artists will have to fill in the form « release-waiver-indemnity / health standards » online in advance and sign the attendance and Covid self declaration on the day of training !


RELEASE AND HEALTH PROTOCOL

To train at Le Monastère, you are required to:
•    accept the terms and conditions enumerated in the reservation system (indemnity/hold harmless/health standards); and
•    to sign the COVID-19 declaration for each visit to Le Monastère


IMPORTANT : TO BE READ IMPERATIVELY

•    Wearing a face cover is mandatory at all times. Fabric face cover is not accepted.
•    No one may circulate or occupy any other room or training area other than the one assigned to them. 

Exclusion of symptomatic people from Le Monastère premises
People with symptoms are part of the COVID-19 chain of transmission. Procedures that take into account the following can help prevent transmission of the disease: 
•    Any professional artist who, IN ADVANCE OF HIS OR HER ARRIVAL AT LE MONASTÈRE, feels symptoms similar to the flu/cold/COVID, must complete the symptom self-evaluation tool on the quebec.ca website and take the actions indicated by the tool: https://covid19.quebec.ca/surveys/cdd2/introduction
•    Artists who train at Le Monastère who receive a positive result at COVID-19 MUST notify TOHU Box Office (514-376-8648) and Le Monastère (Guillaume Blais : 514-668-1869);
•    Results from the public health survey will determine whether people who have been in contact with the symptomatic person can return to the premises or if they must isolate themselves;


BOOKING PROCEDURE

Space booking is only available online, except in specific cases.
Reservations are opened on Friday for the following week.
No one will be admitted without an appointment.

WHEN ARRIVING AT LE MONASTÈRE

•    A COVID-19 declaration must be completed on site

LE MONASTÈRE : GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Any person entering the Monastère buildings has the obligation to :
•    Wear a face cover 
•    Wash your hands according to the procedure upon arrival and avoid touching your face.
•    Respect the physical distance rule of 2 meters at all times.
•    Keep your personal belongings in a bag at all times and avoid putting them in multiple places.
•    Users must wash their hands:
o    At each change of room and before leaving the toilets
o    After coughing, sneezing or blowing your nose;
o    Before and after eating 
o    Before wearing and when removing protective equipment.


CANCELLATION

The periods of self training could coincide with Le Monastère's projects. As a result, Le Monastère and La TOHU cannot guarantee the exclusive use of the spaces allocated for self trainings.

Le Monastère and La TOHU may cancel or move a training period or space on simple notice to the Artist and without further formality.
